Baby Bingo – A Classic Baby Shower Game

Baby shower bingo is one of the original baby shower games, and still remains popular today.

There are two ways of playing the Baby Bingo game – the traditional way, or baby shower gift bingo. Both versions are fully explained here and you can play both variations with your free printables.

Please be aware that while Bingo is easy to set up, it will take a bit of time. You will need at least 15 minutes to prep.

Traditional Baby Shower Bingo

This version is the most popular, particularly as baby shower games for large groups.

WARNING! There are 52 pages in this PDF. If your group is small, you’d be best advised to play baby shower gift bingo (below) or print only what you need.

What You’ll Need To Play

  • A bingo card for each guest. For best results, print them out onto cardstock. It will be less flimsy and easier for your guests to manage.
  • Bingo numbers. Your “bingo numbers” are the last two pages of your printout. Cut them out and place them in a hat, small paper bag, or a small box. Shake it.
  • Something to cover the blocks. Your players can use highlighters, markers, stickers, m&m’s, or anything similar to cover the blocks.

Your free printable baby shower bingo has enough cards for 100 guests. There are two bingo cards per page. Therefore, if you have 20 guests, you will need to print 10 pages. Print what you need and cut them in half.

How To Play Bingo – Step By Step Instructions

  • Give each guest a bingo card and a highlighter / stickers.
  • The block in the center is considered free space.
  • The host/ announcer will pull out a number from the box, and read the word out loud. The guests are given a chance to find that baby item on their bingo card. If they find it, they will place a sticker on it or highlight it.
  • The announcer pulls out another number from the box and reads that one aloud. This continues until someone fills a row of bingo squares vertically, horizontally or diagonally. As soon as they do, they yell “BINGO!”

Baby shower gift bingo is particularly popular with smaller, more intimate baby showers.

Baby shower gift bingo is somewhat similar to regular baby shower bingo, with a few important twists. It is played while mom-to-be is opening her gifts. As she opens a gift, players mark off their bingo cards.

What You’ll Need To Play

  • A blank bingo card for each guest. For best results, print them out onto cardstock. It will be less flimsy and easier for your guests to manage.
  • A pen for each guest.
  • Something to cover the blocks. Your players can use highlighters, markers, stickers, m&m’s, or anything similar to cover the blocks.
  • Mom-to-be, ready to unwrap her baby shower gifts.

Pre Bingo Time

  • Give each guest a blank bingo card, a pen, and a highlighter / stickers.
  • The empty spaces on the bingo cards should be filled with gifts. Ask your guests to write their guesses of what the mom-to-be will get into the blank spaces of the bingo cards. They can fill it out with items that were on the new mom’s baby registry.

Baby Shower Bingo Time

  • The game starts when everyone is finished filling out their bingo cards, and mom-to-be is ready to unwrap her baby shower gifts.
  • The block in the center is considered free space.
  • As mom-to-be unwraps her gifts, guest mark their bingo cards with a sticker/ highlighter.
  • Guests continue to mark off their guesses as mom-to-be unwraps her gifts. The first person to fill a row of bingo squares vertically, horizontally or diagonally, yells out BINGO!
