Ingredients

  • 2 packs microwave popcorn
  • 17 oz dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate chips)

Instructions

  1. Pop your popcorn in the microwave.

  2. When the popcorn is ready, pour it onto a large baking sheet.

  3. You have two options when it comes to melting your chocolate:

    a) On a double boiler, melt your dark chocolate. (Be careful not to have any drops of water mix with the chocolate during this process - it will ruin the batch. Melted chocolate doesn't like water.) Stir the chocolate frequently with a rubber spatula, until it is completely melted.

    b) Melt your chocolate in the microwave in 15-20 second intervals, stirring in between until all your chocolate is melted.

  4. When your chocolate is melted, pour it over the prepared popcorn.

  5. With clean hands, mix the chocolate into the popcorn.

  6. Let your popcorn rest for at least 30 minutes before serving. You can also pop it into the refrigerator to accelerate the process.

Recipe Notes

If you like, sprinkle a little sea salt on your popcorn right after you mixed in the chocolate, to get that sweet and salty kind of taste. Yumm!
