Baby Shower Mad Libs – A Classic Reinvented

Baby Shower Mad Libs is an age-old template word game. It has now been reinvented for baby showers.

How it works is, the host prompts the baby shower guests to list words (onto page 1), Those words, are to fit into the blank spaces on page 2, to create a new story. The new story, which is often nonsensical and comical, is read out loud to the guests. It also serves as a gift for the new mom-to-be.

There are two ways to play baby shower mad libs. The most popular method is the method explained above, where the host prints out only one set of sheets. Together, the guests (prompted by the host) complete page 1 (by adding verbs, adverbs, nouns, etc – provided below). This is the preferred method because everyone gets involved in the same document, and the game is completed quickly.

The alternate method is that each guest gets a copy of page 1 (to complete with verbs, nouns, adverbs, etc – as provided below). Once they are all done with page 1, the host gives each person page 2. Do not give them both sheets at the same time – it is less fun that way. The guests are then to copy their words from page 1, onto page 2. This is often hilarious and nonsensical, too. Each person is to read their rendition to the group.
